Are you proud to be Japanese?

In my language school, EF, there are a lot of Japanese. Maybe around 50 Japanese of 2000 students. from 16 years old to 30? 40? I don't know exactly but something like that. Then, how many Japanese students are proud to be Japanese? Moreover, even in all of Japanese in Japan, how many? In my opinion, there are few Japanese who are proud to be . Before I came here, I was not really, but now I'm really really.

Japan is known as great economy, beautiful, and technology country. In my class, we talked about developed countries and needless to say, we talked about America which has the greatest economy in the world. After that, the topic moved to Japan and it surprised me because there were a lot of European like German, Swede, Swiss, and French. I thought they considered Japan as not important small eastern island. Even though Japan has the third greatest economy in the world, I thought they didn't care about Japan and Japanese. The reason why I thought is that we don't speak English well and we're much quieter than them. I know skill to speak English isn't everything but obviously, Japanese don't speak English well so I thought it meant Japanese didn't have power.

Anyway, I'm proud to be Japanese. Why? Is it because Japan has great economy as I wrote? My answer is no. it's not because Japan has great economy but because Japanese have really good spirit. Japanese Soul. I don't know how to explain exactly even if I speak in Japanese. But I've absolutely made sure that we have great spirit it may support our life. I wanna study Japanese soul and experience the moment I can notice it.

My adventure still continues.
